We Toured a show stopping 5 acre Waterfront Estate in Greenwich along the Long Island Sound with a private dock and waterfront views on New York City, a beautiful Georgian in the woodlands, and a country retreat with rolling hills, fields of cosmos, and a woodlands trail that meandered around the different landscapes, including a sweet family home in riverside with pergolas and vegitable gardens with the well appointed pergola.

Greenwich, CT Town Center, Greenwich Avenue

Greenwich is delightful for its city-like lifestyle in the charming suburbs of one of Fairfield counties top towns to live - Greenwich, CT;  from the  chic shops and superb restaurants on Greenwich Ave, the top rated Greenwich schools, to our very own Museum.

I attended this years tour with my friend, fellow interior designer and decor blogger, Laurel Bern. If you don’t already follow her, take a look. This is our visual journey of the homes and gardens we visited. It was a stellar day as the beginning of summer has arrived here in New England.

If you know me, then you know I am a tree hugger. I am who stops the car to at the sound of a chainsaw to encourage homeowners and tree cutters from destroying our historic trees.

My son Tyler, suggested that we should have a historical record and protection of our town trees, just as we do for historic pieces of architecture. Im thinking that a great idea! Why hasn’t this been done?

Take a look at this one……

Both Pinterest and Instagram are amazing sources for inspiration. When I have time, I like to browse through both and take note of small details that I like. A paint color, a light, the layout of a space, or an exterior design that I see might inspire a whole new look for a client space. But there is nothing like getting out of the office and strolling thorough these beautiful gardens in real life.
